Pressure treated wooden close board fence panels
We regularly supply and fit wooden close board garden fence panels to gardens and developments. Close board fencing has the panel slats running vertically ( up & down rather than side to side). The popular alternative to a close board fence panel is the related lapped fence panel.
When we replace may sections of garden fencing that have either fallen down in bad weather or just rotted away after years of service. In all cases we only use the highest quality pressure treated timbers for guaranteed long and trouble free life.
Our professional team of dedicated fence specialists can take on jobs of any size and we always leave your property neat and tidy. If you have an exposed, windy site or a very wet area, we would recommend that you install a more robust post to ensure the fence stays up. Concrete posts are the perfect answer to fence panels exposed to wind or gales regularly.
Timber fencing with concrete posts and spurs
For the longest life in more challenging soils conditions, concrete posts are recommended instead of square section wooden posts. Concrete posts are longer lived and set into solid concrete foundations below the ground for the longer fence life and give your garden fence more strength and rigidity. Add a concrete gravel board to extend the lifespan of your fence by keeping it away from wet ground.
Smaller concrete support spurs can either be used as strengthening joists or as a short term repair. We recommend that you replace your entire fence run where possible because it’s a false economy to keep replacing one or two fence panels each year. If you replace the whole fence when just a section has blown down in the wind, the entire structure will last longer and look better.
